Surrey Squash has developed a successful junior talent pathway by growing a large grassroots base and nurturing and supporting the talented performers into strong county players with many of these progressing to the Aspire squad and the very best of these to national level. This could not have been done without developing a highly experienced coaching team throughout the county. Surrey Squash is constantly looking for new coaches to help increase participation by working with schools, within their clubs and contributing to the county programme, either by coaching county sessions or identifying new players for the squads.
The county is here to encourage individuals and will attempt to help with funding wherever possible. The pathway below describes courses available, the requirements needed to enrol on a course and associated costs.
There are additional costs for the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) certificate, Safeguarding Children and first aid courses.
The safeguarding and first aid workshops are three hours long and the candidate must find one local to them.
All three requirements must be updated every three years.
