Redhill Squash Club proudly announces that its dedicated Level 2 coach, Ray Harris, was honoured as the runner-up at last week’s prestigious Reigate & Banstead Annual Sports Awards.

Ray, who leads nine coaching sessions weekly, working closely at the club’s base with Donyngs Leisure Centre, was recognised for his exceptional contributions to boosting the club’s profile and membership. His adaptive coaching methods have successfully engaged a wide range of adult and junior beginners, notably reaching out to diverse backgrounds and needs. The awards committee also commended his commitment to the boroughs school holiday programme and his proactive promotional efforts at their annual sports festivals.

Ray was nominated alongside Rehan Khan from Redhill Boxing Club and Claire Gardener from Max Force Trampoline Club. Reflecting on the experience, Ray said, “Although the trampoline coach scooped the award, knowing that my clients felt strongly enough to nominate me made me jump for joy.”
