Ebbisham Sports Club in Epsom, Surrey, played host to a thrilling Racketball Open Graded Singles & Doubles Tournament, bringing together players from across the county for an action-packed day of competition, camaraderie, and charity fundraising.

A Fantastic Turnout!

With 21 singles competitors (19 men and 2 women), 5 doubles pairs, and an additional 6 women competing as part of International Women’s Day, the event was buzzing with energy. Players were divided into three competitive singles grades—A, B, and C —along with a Charity Doubles event, held for the third consecutive year.

Champions Crowned! 🏆

The tournament saw some incredible performances across all categories. In the A Grade, Alan Taffinder from Reigate took the title, with Nick Hiley from Surbiton finishing as runner-up. The B Grade saw Tommy Meadows from Dover emerge victorious, defeating Colin Shermer from Ebbisham. In the C Grade, it was an all-Ebbisham final, with Steve Herridge securing the win over Sam Wellard.
The Charity Doubles event brought another level of excitement, with Nathen Newark and Pete Banfield from Ebbisham claiming victory, while Stuart Kemp and Will Mariner from Warlingham finished as runners-up.

This year’s Charity Doubles event continued to be a highlight, with all proceeds going to Epsom & Ewell Foodbank, the club’s chosen charity for 2025, as voted by its members. It was fantastic to see the racketball community coming together not just for great competition, but also to support a meaningful cause.

A huge congratulations to all the winners and participants for their amazing performances, and a special thank you to everyone who made this event possible.

With such an incredible day behind us, we can’t wait to see what next year’s tournament will bring! See you on court in 2026! 🎾🔥
