Weʼre raising money to support Boys Head Surrey Squash Coach, Michael Hennings through his cancer treatment.
Michael Hennings, Boys Head Surrey Squash Coach & Head Coach at Surbiton, was diagnosed with cancer in the summer. It’s been great to see him coaching more recently after settling into the routine of his treatment.
Michael is now half way through his first stage of treatment and after a difficult start with numerous unplanned stays in hospital due to infections, thankfully the last couple of months have been going more to plan. Last week he underwent a series of progress scans, the results of which were positive, showing he has been responding well to the treatment.
This is of course great news, but still with a long and challenging road ahead, we as the club and wider squash community would like to show our continued support to him and his family. Michael has given a huge amount of time, effort and commitment to the Club and every role he’s had through his passion for the sport, but is currently unable to be on court due to his treatment.
With this in mind, the County in conjunction with Surbiton Rackets and Fitness Club and The Lensbury Club have set up a Just Giving Page to help support Michael and his family at this time. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
